Lesson 1: Domestic heir-lines: A lesson in domestication

Share answers of domestication. If no one comes up with the correct definition, someone look it up.
Break into pairs or groups of three and take ten minutes to answer the following questions:
Group Project:
Working in individually or in pairs, your task is to identify where the following domesticated plants and animals originated. Once you've identified the origin, list the plants/animals on the map (download below) based on location. Use the resources in the library for support. DON'T FORGET TO CITE YOUR SOURCES OF INFORMATION!

- Why would a person want to “domesticate” a plant or animal?
- How might a person go about doing this?
- How long might domestication of a plant or animal take?
- What changes might occur to that plant or animal?
